What is the time line on the firmware that is selectable between ppm and sbus/sppm?

I am going to convert my quad into an x8, and I am currently using the custom ppm quad firmware.

Cheers,

Stu

Thanks Emile,

That worked, for anyone interested my case if trying to do the same see here

http://www.virtualrobotix.com/forum/topics/battery-voltage-input?co...

I am happy with only current, I can run a separate audible voltage alarm for if I get a bad cell or something.

Thanks again,

Loving uBrain

Stuart, check that in the full parameter list you have this for battery monitor:

BAT_VOLT_PIN 10

BAT_VOLT_MULT 10.1

If you want to test Current, then you have to invert BAT_CUR_PIN with BAT_VOLT_PIN

On the uBRAIN it is not  possible to test both at the same time unfortunately.

Let me know if it works.

Emile

I've corrected the defaults in the firmware so from next release it will be automatic.

My Mbrain is also victim of the usb port braking off. Just received my D4R friday. Today after 5 minutes my usb port broke. No real force was put upon the cable. Very brittle apparently. What now? This sort of soldering work is beyond me and my tools.

:)

Yes will do, I have bought some USB micro connectorrs, my plan is to make a short lead onboard to make connection easier and means I don't need to plug/unplug on the PCB connector.

Here is a quick vid I took on my phone, sorry it is portrait....I was on my own so had my hands full.

I just successfully maidened my new homebrew big quad with my uBrain :)

Pretty much just loitered for 20 minutes x 2 to shake test it, my vibes are a bit high and I have a bit or torque from a motor misalignment, but looks good other than that. Loiter is the best I have had, and all gains are default at the minute :)

I have a question though, as before i ultimately would like the coltage input to be optioanly used for current, but in the mean time I wired up battery voltage. But I am getting zero volts in misison planner and logs. I tried the various input options in the settings, but all show 0V. Is this working in the current firmwares?

Thanks,

Stuart
