I have been working on a new miniquad project where I did plan to use VRBrain controller, but now I must redesign it for the new VR Micro Brain :-)
I plan to use:
- 16mm carbon tubes (so I can mount ESC inside the tubes)
- 20A Slim Afro ESC
- SunnySky 2204s 2300Kv motors
- HQ Prop 6x3 Carbon Composit Props (some info on the motor/prop combo)

I do not use bullet connectors on the ESC to motor cables, so I connect the cables like this while testing.
First, I test if the rotation directions are correct, by connecting the “servo” cable to the throttle channel on my rx. If the rotation direction is wrong, I swap two of the three cables between ESC and motor.

Have mounted a power board + 6 30mm alu standoffs + 4 tube clamps (from flyduino.net)
On the top center plate (at right) I have mounted 6 spacers with vibration damping.

After a long time with wind, rain and snow, the weather turned in my favor, so I was able to test my frame using my great VRBRAIN + LEA-6 GPS.

I´m going to start testing Roberto´s New VrDroidRC Android app.
To have a platform where I can use my Nexus 7 tablet as a combined Ground Station and radio (using AndroPilot or VrDroidRC), I have made a combined Nexus 7 dock and enclosure to mount the electronics.
Maybe later VrDroidRC have telemetry and FPV support, so I don´t have to use AndroPilot ?
Here I have mounted a G10 plate and some 30mm standoffs on the back of a Nexus 7 protective back-cover…
